Project scope
Construction of new pavilion in detention and rehabilitation centre for women in Požarevac is part of the project "Improving Living Conditions in Correctional Institute for Women in Pozarevac". Penitentiary was designed to accommodate 250 inmates, but in recent years has consistently housed a larger number of prisoners. Newly constructed pavilion of the Women’s Penal Correctional Institution in Pozarevac can accommodate 160 female convicts. The new 2,600-square-meter facility was designed and built as an atrium with ground floor and first floor and consists of open, semi-open and misdemeanour wards.
